The Role
We are looking for an experienced leader who can guide and support our small 38 place, long‑standing team with confidence, warmth and professionalism. You will lead approximately 9 educators, ensuring daily practice aligns with our service philosophy, policies, procedures and the National Quality Standards (NQS). You must have experience working in Early Childhood Education & Care Settings and be able to provide high quality education and care for all enrolled children.
You will be primarily be non teaching, leading the team through positive engagement, role modelling , mentorship.
We have a dedicated team with many members employed for long periods of time. The culture is friendly and supportive.
Key Competencies
A strong commitment to and in-depth knowledge of Child Safety, Child Protection and Wellbeing. The ability to uphold the rights of each child and promote and implement a child safe environment at all times.
Strong understanding of industry legislation, compliance and regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong and confident in an understanding of business management.
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
Strong understanding of the importance of family communications
Leadership and mentoring skills
Excellent management skills
Curriculum planning skills
Passionate about implementing early learning programs
Thorough understandings of the day to day operations of an Early Childhood Education & Care Service
Essential Criteria:
Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (approved by ACECQA) or working towards this qualification or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
Experience within the industry, particulary as either a 2IC or Director.
Current Working with Children Check.
National Police Check
A current First Aid Certificate
Ability to work shifts between 7.00am - 6:00pm
A sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
The ability to develop effective & positive working relationships.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
An understanding of policies, procedures and regulations.
Desire to continually learn and add value to our childcare centres.
Ability to make business decisions and work with assigned budgets.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
