SA Steelworks is a growing structural steel fabrication and construction company based in Adelaide. We are currently seeking motivated Experienced Boilermakers, Boilermaker Apprentices, and Structural Steel Labourers to join our team.

About the RolesExperienced Boilermakers
We are looking for qualified and experienced boilermakers to join our workshop and site teams. You will be involved in the fabrication, welding, assembly, and installation of structural steel components for a range of projects across South Australia.
Apprentice Boilermakers
This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in the steel industry. You will receive hands on training while working alongside experienced tradespeople and complete a nationally recognised trade qualification.
Structural Steel Labourers
You will assist in the fabrication and installation process, supporting tradespeople across workshop and site projects while gaining valuable industry experience.
Key Responsibilities Experienced Boilermakers
Fabrication and assembly of structural steel components
Reading and interpreting engineering and shop drawings
MIG welding and general steel fabrication
Operating workshop machinery and equipment
Maintaining high quality workmanship and safety standards
Assisting with on site steel installation when required
Apprentices & Labourers
Assisting with fabrication and assembly of structural steel
Grinding, cleaning, and preparation of steel components
Operating basic tools and machinery
Reading and interpreting basic drawings (preferred)
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Supporting boilermakers and welders on projects
What We're Looking For Experienced Boilermakers
Trade qualified Boilermaker
Previous experience in structural steel fabrication
Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings
Strong welding and fabrication skills
Reliable, safety focused, and able to work independently and within a team
Forklift, EWP, or Dogging tickets are advantageous
For Apprentices
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Interest in metalwork or construction
Reliable and punctual
White Card (or willing to obtain)
For Labourers
Previous experience working with structural steel or construction
Ability to use grinders, drills, and basic tools
Ability to read drawings (highly regarded)
Physically fit and capable of manual work
Forklift ticket (advantage but not essential)
