About the role
We are seeking an experienced Reward Manager to join Ampol on a 12-month max-term contract, based at our Alexandria HQ. Reporting to the Head of Performance and Reward, this role will act as a senior subject matter expert across remuneration, performance, and reward frameworks, ensuring they remain competitive, compliant, and aligned to business objectives.
This position has been created to support a major integration program into Ampol’s reward framework, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to large-scale organisational change.
Key responsibilities

Manage a major integration program into Ampol’s reward frameworks, including job architecture alignment and role benchmarking

Support the transition to Ampol’s performance and remuneration frameworks, including legacy performance review completion

Deliver annual remuneration review activities,

Lead fixed and variable reward processes, ensuring strong governance and stakeholder alignment

Provide market insights, benchmarking, and remuneration analysis to inform decision-making

Contribute to strategic reward initiatives and collaborate across the team on integration priorities
Qualifications & Experience

Strong experience in broad-based reward across corporate or commercial portfolios

Proven experience managing salary reviews, incentive programs, and job architecture frameworks

7+ years’ experience in remuneration, reward, analytics, or HR consulting

Experience working within complex organisations of similar scale

Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and translate into insights

High attention to detail with strong project management and prioritisation skills

Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and manage competing priorities

Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision
-
Degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related discipline

Experience with executive reward or equity programs is not essential but will be viewed favourably
