About the role
MHIAA is looking for an experienced and technically strong Regional Service Manager to join our Service team, based at our Head Office in Regents Park.
Reporting to the National Service Manager, this role will be responsible for leading regional service operations, supporting our Authorised Service Agent network, and ensuring our customers receive responsive, efficient and high-quality technical support. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong HVAC technical knowledge, proven people management capability and a genuine focus on customer service.
As Regional Service Manager, you will oversee the timely resolution of service faults and technical issues, support and train Service Agents, and work closely with internal teams, contractors, customers and Technical Service Engineers to ensure repairs are completed in the most efficient and effective manner.
You will also play an important role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our Service Agent network, ensuring they are equipped with the right technical information, warranty process knowledge and support to represent the MHIAA brand to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include
- Managing the timely repair and resolution of product faults and technical issues
- Leading, supporting and performance managing regional Technical Service Engineers
- Sourcing, onboarding and maintaining strong relationships with Authorised Service Agents
- Visiting Service Agents on a regular call cycle to provide support and guidance
- Training Service Agents on MHIAA service and warranty procedures
- Liaising with customers, contractors, Service Agents and internal teams to prioritise and complete repairs
- Supporting urgent repairs for critical sites such as hospitals, aged-care homes and key customer facilities
- Coordinating and facilitating technical training seminars for the regional Service Agent network
- Organising and monitoring KX commissioning processes through to completion
- Ensuring technical solutions are delivered in a practical, timely and cost-effective manner
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical experience within the HVAC industry, along with the ability to lead people, manage priorities and build trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will be someone who is practical, solutions-focused and comfortable balancing hands-on technical support with service coordination, people leadership and customer management.
You will ideally have
- HVAC tertiary qualifications
- Restricted Electrical Licence
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of heating and cooling air-conditioning systems
- Previous experience managing or leading a technical service team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A self-motivated approach with strong initiative
- A high level of attention to detail
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Unrestricted driver licence
Desirable experience
- Proven experience providing technical and hands-on support across air-conditioning technologies
- Experience working with Service Agents, contractors or dealer networks
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Understanding of operational efficiency and service delivery processes
- Experience supporting warranty procedures and commissioning processes
