We are currently seeking an experienced Caravan Service & Repair Technician to work alongside a team of dedicated repair technicians in providing mechanical and warranty repair applications for large caravan brands such as Jayco and Crusader Caravans. The company has a positive climate, offers great educational experiences, and has a monthly RDO for all staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of warranty-based repairs and aftermarket upgrades on caravans related to routine servicing, plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, battery installations, suspension modifications, and appliance installations.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to customers and staff when required.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of repair work (eg. Photos of work completed, repair comments, etc)
- Assist in managing workshop inventory and supplies as required.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in caravan repairs methods and problem solving in areas such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, suspensions, appliance work and miscellaneous caravan works. Specific examples of required experience includes, but is not limited to:
- Routine servicing, inclusive of bearings, brakes, suspension and silicone maintenance.
- Battery installations and relocations.
- Electrical powerpoint and socket replacements or installations.
- Cabinetry and furniture modifications (hinges, struts, door fitment, etc).
- External fixtures and fittings replacements (J-moulds, doors, windows, awnings, etc).
- Appliance and accessory replacements or installations (gas/diesel heaters, water pumps, fridges, etc).
- Water tank installations and relocations.
- Experience in the use of powered hand and benchtop tools.
- Computer skills, including experience with industry-specific software and programs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with relevant workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Must hold a current and valid driver’s license.
- Forklift license and have experience operating one in a similar environment is advantageous, but not essential.
