Experienced Trade Assistant
We are looking for an experienced Trade Assistant to join our team. The successful applicant will have previous experience working alongside tradespeople and be confident assisting with day-to-day trade and repairs work.
This is more than an entry-level position — we are looking for someone who understands the role, can work independently when required, and is confident working in a hands-on environment.
About the role:
- Assist tradespeople with repairs and general trade duties
- Prepare tools, materials and equipment for jobs
- Load, unload and transport materials as required
- Assist with site preparation and clean-up
- Follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment
- Provide assistance on residential and commercial jobs
- Carry out general manual and practical duties as required
About you:
- Previous experience as a Trade Assistant or in a similar hands-on role
- Experience working alongside tradespeople
- Good understanding of tools, equipment and workplace safety
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Able to follow instructions and work unsupervised when required
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Current driver's licence is preferred and own transport.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable and already has a good understanding of what is expected in a Trade Assistant role.
Previous experience with sliding doors, windows, door hardware, aluminium doors, glazier, manufacturing and installation of doors will be highly regarded.
Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
