The Role:
Join a collaborative payroll team supporting one of Australia's largest manufacturing and recycling businesses. In this role, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll while working with industry-leading systems including SAP, SuccessFactors and Kronos. Supporting a workforce of approximately 4,000 employees, you'll play a critical role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance and exceptional service across the business.
As part of our Australian payroll team, you'll work closely with Payroll Leadership and key stakeholders across the business, operating from our Reservoir office three days per week with the ability to work remotely on the remaining two days.
What You’ll Do:
- Process Australian weekly payroll for allocated business units, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Maintain employee records, including new starters, payroll changes, corrections and terminations.
- Administer SAP, SuccessFactors and Kronos to support end-to-end payroll processing.
- Support payroll delivery for 4,000+ employees across multiple pay cycles and business units.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements (EAs)and statutory obligations.
- Partner with Payroll Leadership and the wider team to resolve queries, provide reporting and drive continuous improvement.
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience in a medium to large payroll environment, with exposure to high-volume payroll processing.
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including awards, EAs, PAYG, Superannuation and payroll compliance requirements.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex payroll policies and procedures while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, enabling you to manage competing priorities and meet critical payroll deadlines.
- Experience with payroll and HR systems, ideally including SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors, Kronos and payroll reporting tools such as Spinifex.
