Role Purpose
The Business Development Executive is responsible for proactively identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities to support the Company's strategic growth objectives. This role is focused exclusively on new business development through prospecting, lead generation, customer acquisition, and market expansion across domestic and international markets.
This role is all about being a proactive hunter for new business, shortening the sales cycle through exceptional customer acquisition skills and representing the business effectively at trade shows and industry events. Moreover, they excel in building strong relationships with potential customers, identifying their needs, and positioning our lemon myrtle products as the ideal solution across the food and beverage, essential oils, health and wellness, and hospitality sectors.
Business Development & Pipeline Management
· Proactively identify, qualify and engage potential customers, distributors and strategic partners across domestic and international markets.
· Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, digital outreach and industry events.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact to successful onboarding.
· Develop a thorough understanding of the Company's Lemon Myrtle product portfolio, production capabilities and unique value proposition to effectively position our products in the marketplace.
· Research market trends, customer needs, competitor activities and emerging opportunities across the food & beverage, nutraceutical, personal care, essential oils and hospitality sectors.
· Conduct customer meetings, product presentations and solution-based sales discussions to identify customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.
· Prepare quotations, commercial proposals and other sales documentation for prospective customers.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect, customer and sales activity records within the Company's CRM system.
· Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring regular follow-up and progression of opportunities through the sales cycle.
· Work closely with Operations, Production and Management to ensure the successful onboarding and transition of newly acquired customers.
· Provide regular updates and reports on pipeline performance, market intelligence, customer feedback and new business opportunities to Management.

- Ideally, has prior experience in sales, either in an account management or new business development role, preferably within the food, beverage, nutraceutical, essential oils or personal care industry

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
