About the Role
We have exciting opportunities for Mental Health Disability Support Workers in the Western suburbs.We are seeking carers with strong communication skills, particularly well-spoken English, and availability for both day and night shifts.
This role involves supporting clients in their daily lives to help them live more independently. Experience in mental health, palliative care, dementia, personal care, manual handling, medication administration, and all household tasks is highly regarded.
Support workers must be committed to their duty of care toward participants while promoting choice, dignity, and control. We are happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Traveling to clients’ homes and assisting with daily living supports
- Assisting clients with transportation and community access
- Manual handling and mobility assistance
- Providing palliative and personal care support
- Administering medications safely (as per training and policy)
- Performing all household tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable environment
- Following policy & procedure such as OHS & COVID-19 safety measures
- Following care plans and supporting participants in achieving their goals
- Maintaining accurate reporting (digital timesheets, progress notes, incident reports, etc.)
- Honest and transparent communication & feedback
- Engaging in social and skill-building community activities
- Maintaining attention to detail concerning in-home risks
- Consistent communication and exhibiting leadership

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid Driver’s Licence & Own Car with registration

Pay: $34.00 – $39.00 per hour
