EDL 1-5 $110,242 - $123,470 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).

The Bachelor of Nursing program is delivered by a highly qualified academic team and supported by professional staff across simulation, clinical education and student placements. The program is designed to meet contemporary industry standards and regulatory requirements, integrating theory, simulation and workplace learning to support student readiness for professional practice.
As a Lecturer – Nursing, you will contribute to high-quality teaching, assessment and coordination within the Bachelor of Nursing program, with a strong focus on clinical education, simulation delivery and student placement support.
You will apply evidence-based teaching practices across classroom, laboratory and simulated learning environments, and play an active role in supporting students undertaking clinical placements. This role contributes to curriculum development, quality improvement and Holmesglen’s commitment to excellence in nursing education.
As a Lecturer, you will:

Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across classroom, simulation laboratory and clinical learning environments within the Bachelor of Nursing program.

Plan, facilitate and assess learning activities in clinical skills and simulation labs, ensuring alignment with subject learning outcomes and professional standards.

Support and monitor students undertaking clinical placements, including preparation, supervision and liaison with relevant stakeholders.

Contribute to subject coordination, curriculum development and continuous improvement to ensure academic and industry relevance.

Provide academic guidance, mentoring and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning experience.
To be successful, you’ll have:

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, with substantial clinical experience, a Bachelor of Nursing, and a postgraduate qualification (Master’s or equivalent) in nursing or a relevant specialty.

Demonstrated experience delivering nursing education across higher education and/or clinical education settings, including simulation and clinical skills laboratory environments. Undergraduate teaching experience is required for this role.

Experience supporting or supervising students on clinical placement, with an understanding of placement and assessment requirements.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues and external partners.

Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic teaching environment.

WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
