What this opportunity involves:

We're looking for a highly motivated Finance Manager to lead finance operations, business partner with our client's finance team, and deliver exceptional property accounting services.
This is an outstanding opportunity to take the lead in finance operations for a diverse portfolio of properties. You'll work closely with our client's finance team and Property Managers, ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting whilst driving continuous improvement across our finance function.
An overview of the role:
- Serve as the primary finance business partner to the client's finance team and Property Managers
- Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations in collaboration with the Portfolio Accountant
- Set, manage, and monitor annual performance goals and KPIs
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members to enhance their capabilities and performance
- Lead and actively participate in monthly finance training sessions
- Deliver comprehensive financial reports for a portfolio of assets
- Coordinate with Property Managers on month-end reporting requirements
- Process and approve journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare IFRS rent smoothing and incentive amortisation journals
- Conduct annual tenant outgoings recovery reconciliations and liaise with outgoings auditors
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Ensure full compliance with Trust Accounting and Property Accounting policies and procedures
- Maintain adherence to JLL's internal compliance processes, including six-monthly internal audit checklists
- Coordinate with clients regarding information flow for annual audits
- Manage property transitions, including onboarding new properties and processing cease management
- Process client remittances accurately and efficiently
- Act as Level 1 MRI support for day-to-day Client Accounting Services team functions
- Liaise with client finance teams on all property accounting matters
Sound like you? This is what we’re looking for:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in property and trust accounting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance
- Demonstrated experience managing small teams in a managerial or team lead capacity
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles
- Prior experience in the real estate or construction industry
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across all organisational levels
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- Process-oriented mindset with a passion for standardisation and consolidation of finance functions
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and proactive approach
- Proven ability to prioritise and deliver multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines
- Collaborative team player who fosters productive relationships across diverse, multicultural teams
