Alya is currently seeking experienced and compassionate Female Support Mentors to join a dedicated team supporting a young NDIS participant in the Virginia / North Brisbane area.
This is an ongoing role within a structured, clinically supported environment, working alongside a small and consistent team. The participant requires support with daily living, personal care, and complex health needs, alongside guidance, routine, and stability.
We are looking for mentors who bring a calm, grounded presence, understand the importance of boundaries, and are confident supporting individuals with high physical and clinical support needs.
About the role
You will provide consistent, relationship-focused support both in the home and community, with a strong emphasis on routine, safety, and building trust over time.
You will be supported by a Registered Nurse who will provide training, guidance, and clinical oversight.
Key responsibilities
Personal care and continence support
PEG feeding and mealtime support
Manual handling and mobility assistance
Seizure management and monitoring
Supporting daily routines and household tasks
Medication management
Community access and social engagement
Working collaboratively with family and the care team
Monitoring wellbeing and maintaining clear communication
About you
Female support worker with strong industry experience
Experience supporting youth participants under the NDIS
Confident supporting participants with seizures, PEG feeding, personal care, and manual handling
Calm, trauma-informed, and respectful approach
Able to maintain professional boundaries and consistency
Reliable, accountable, and team-oriented
Willing to follow structured care plans and clinical guidance
Must hold or be willing to obtain a valid Blue Card
Experience in disability, complex care, or community services is highly regarded.
Additional clinical training will be provided by a Registered Nurse.
