About the position
At Aurora, you will apply the skills you have developed through your studies to solving some of our clients’ most interesting and intricate problems.
As an Analyst (Fixed Term Contract), you will be placed in Advisory teams across our Australia business executing bespoke consulting projects for clients.
Advisory Projects include valuations of energy assets, modelling bespoke scenarios and asset configurations and conducting analysis to forecast asset economics for investors, banks, developers and utilities. Besides project valuation work, the Advisory team also works with governments and regulators on designing and evaluating energy policy.
You will usually work alongside other Analysts, and project teams are made up of one or two Analysts, a Project Manager and a Senior Associate providing oversight. Teams re-form for each new project, so you will get the chance to work with a variety of Aurora experts in the wider Advisory team.

Required attributes:
- Undergraduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or business field
- An ability to collect, analyse, and interpret complex information
- An ability to communicate and collaborate with a range of people
- Demonstrated quantitative ability and problem-solving skills
- Evidence working effectively in teams
Desirable attributes:
- Fluency in a second language is beneficial but not essential
- Skills in data analytics and related software (e.g. Python, Excel, SQL, Power BI)
- Passion for sustainable solutions, green energy transition, economics, data analytics, software, strategy, or consulting.
