We are currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our Engineering team at our Taree facility. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, efficiency and safety of our high-speed manufacturing equipment while supporting continuous production.
About the Role
· Carrying out preventative, planned and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
· Troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime.
· Maintaining site electrical systems and production machinery.
· Monitoring equipment performance to maximise reliability and efficiency.
· Completing maintenance records and work orders.
· Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
· Working closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
· Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with electrical standards, WHS requirements and company procedures.
About You
· Trade qualification as an Electrician with a current Electrical Licence.
· Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a high-speed production facility.
· Experience troubleshooting PLCs, including Allen Bradley, Omron or Siemens systems.
· Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
· Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
· Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
· Flexibility to workday or rotating shifts and participate in an on-call breakdown roster when required.
.Understanding of Human-Machine Interfaces used to operate and monitor plant processes
· Forklift Licence.
· Working at Heights, EWP or Confined Space certification.
· Knowledge of gas-fired burners and controls.
. Electricity is highly dangerous. You must have a strict adherence to safety codes, understand the National Electrical Code (NEC), and consistently use personal protective equipment (PPE).
