What are we looking for?
We’re currently seeking Demi's and CDPs for our Boatbuilders Yard venue on South Wharf, Melbourne
Our kitchens are high-energy, fast-paced environments where creativity, consistency, and collaboration are key.
Our CDP's:
Run your designated section during service and assist the junior chefs with their sections. Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Sous.
- Ensure all dishes meet food specs, presentation standards and quality expectations
- Prepare, cook and plate food efficiently during service
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times
- Assist with ordering, stock control and minimising waste within your section
- Train, guide and support Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and Senior Leaders of the Kitchen Team
- Lead by example and help maintain a positive, respectful kitchen culture
Our Demi Chefs:
- Assist the Chef de Partie with day‑to‑day running of the section
- Prepare ingredients and components ahead of service
- Cook and plate dishes to the required standard under guidance
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation
- Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
- Support smooth service by communicating clearly with the team
- Learn menus, recipes and kitchen systems
- Step up to run the section when required, under supervision
