CMTP is a leading Australian manufacturer of timber pallets, crates and packaging solutions, supplying customers for 50 years through a national network of sawmill and timber manufacturing sites.
We're looking for a Production Manager to lead our Branxholm sawmill and manufacturing site. Leading a team of approximately 30 employees, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, accountable and positive team environment where people understand what good performance looks like and feel supported to improve.
This is a role where your management and leadership experience will help shape day-to-day standards, strengthen team capability and support better ways of working across the site.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the sawmill and manufacturing operation, setting clear expectations and supporting your team.
You'll be responsible for:
- Driving safety, quality and production performance
- Coaching and developing site leaders and operators
- Implementing Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives
- Identifying and delivering process improvements
- Supporting production planning and operational efficiency
About You
You’re a hands-on leader who enjoys spending time with your team, creating clear expectations and helping people succeed. You bring a practical approach to problem solving and enjoy turning improvement ideas into real operational outcomes.
You will bring:
- Experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong people leadership and influencing skills
- Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience
- Process improvement and problem-solving capability
- A commitment to safety, accountability and team performance
- Timber mill experience is not essential
