Job Purpose
DP World is currently seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our Global Freight team based in Edinburgh Adelaide. In this role, you will manage customer relationships and coordinate end-to-end vehicle logistics activities to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Additionally, you will also oversee reporting, billing verification and the maintenance of accurate operational data using advanced Excel skills, while working closely with customers, operational teams and external vendors including maintenance, repair and charging providers to resolve issues, manage stock movements and support delivery performance.
Key Accountabilities:
Act as the primary customer contact, managing end-to-end shipment execution and resolving issues promptly
Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering a high level of customer service
Proactively monitor shipments, communicate delays or deviations and provide timely customer updates
Manage purchase orders for allocated client portfolios
Identify and manage operational risks and exceptions
Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts
Support the Key Account Manager with onboarding and transitioning new business
Prepare accurate quotes and rate updates while supporting and mentoring team members
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Fluent Mandarin and English communication skills
5+ years’ experience in import freight operations and customer service
Strong understanding of Australian import operations and supply chain processes
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with Cargowise (WiseTech) experience
Ability to manage operational issues independently and work to deadlines
Strong stakeholder management and customer relationship skills
