We’re Looking For a…
Leading Hand who enjoys being on site, supporting build delivery, and working closely with supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain Halcyon’s high standards of safety, quality, and presentation.
What You’ll Do
As a site-based, hands-on role, you’ll support the Senior Leading Hand and Site Supervisor to ensure homes are delivered on time, to standard, and safely. Your work will directly contribute to homeowner satisfaction and a well-run construction site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting day-to-day site operations across quality control, housekeeping, site security and general activities
- Completing fix-ups, tidy-ups and scope gap works to keep builds progressing on time
- Maintaining a safe, clean and well-presented construction site at all times
- Working closely with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure jobs are completed to standard and on schedule
- Ensuring all works comply with Stockland Halcyon policies, WHS legislation and relevant building standards
- Communicating daily with the Senior Leading Hand on progress, delays, risks and incomplete works
- Completing daily updates and required sign-offs in the construction program
- Assisting with catch-up works, site lock-ups and occasional site activities as required
About You

Practical and organised, you like to stay busy, keep things moving and step in where needed to get the job done. You’re motivated by delivering quality outcomes and contributing to a positive experience for homeowners and the wider community.
Experience & Skills That Count
- Current White Card
- Construction site experience within residential building environments and a solid understanding of how builds come together
- Ability to complete general site tasks including fix-ups, tidy-ups and scope gap works
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume site environments
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise across multiple homes
- Experience working with subcontractors and trades on site
- Clear communication skills with the ability to escalate risks, delays or defects
- Practical problem-solving skills with a reliable, team-oriented work ethic
- Trade background (desirable)
- Current driver’s licence and ability to reliably commute to site
