Role Summary
As a Senior Automotive Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our reputation for quality by diagnosing, servicing, and maintaining both customer and stock vehicles to the highest standards. You will be adept at handling a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks with proficiency in using both hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic and computerised equipment.
This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive salary package ranging from $80,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and maintain vehicles, ensuring all work is performed to manufacturer specifications and quality guidelines.
- Conduct repairs and overhauls on a variety of vehicle components including engines, brakes, fuel systems, transmissions, steering and suspension, drivelines, and electrical systems.
- Understand and interpret repair order (RO) requirements accurately and efficiently.
- Perform test drives to diagnose issues and confirm service outcomes.
- Adhere to company policies and regulatory standards at all times.
- Accurately record work completed, both written and verbally, for accounting and documentation purposes.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with all safety protocols.
- Complete VicRoads roadworthy certificates and testing, where applicable.
- Collaborate with team members and management, contributing to a positive and cooperative working atmosphere.
- Commitment to upholding a positive organisational image through excellent service and standards
Minimum Requirements
- Certificate III and IV in automotive discipline
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, demonstrating a high level of technical ability and expertise
