The opportunity
Our Roads crew are seeking an energetic, reliable and motivated Team Assistant to join their team, sharing the same passion for civil maintenance related projects. You’ll have a strong background in leading a small team, handling safe operation of machinery and equipment. It’s highly desirable if you have a MR license or higher, with previous skid steer or excavator experience.
The main purpose of this gig is to support the Team Leader in successfully delivering on contract works associated with roads, drainage, drainage structures, footpaths, cycle ways, car parks, street and roadside furniture and any other assets as directed.
- This is a permanent opportunity – working full-time 38 hours / week working Tuesday – Friday each week.
- Base Salary Range (FY25/26 rates): $63,606 to $68,979 pa based on 38 hours / week + 12% superannuation + Adverse Work Conditions allowance + $2,464 retention allowance
- You will be working from PSC Raymond Terrace Works Depot, Freeth St Raymond Terrace

- A certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills
- Good written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of WHS and risk management, including site safety procedures
- Relevant licences/accreditations (or ability to obtain), such as White Card, traffic control, First Aid, and Safe Work Near Power Lines
- Current Class LR driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain before starting)
