Lead the floor at a community-focused coastal club in beautiful Lennox Head. Club Lennox Sports is looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our leadership team and help deliver great service, strong team culture and smooth day-to-day operations. Following internal employee movements, we are expanding our management team from three to four Duty Managers to provide greater support for our staff, members and daily operations.
About the role
You will play a key role in leading day-to-day venue operations and supporting a positive experience for members, guests and team members.
This role would suit a confident hospitality leader who enjoys working in a busy licensed venue, supporting people on shift, solving problems calmly and helping create a welcoming, professional and community-focused club environment.
You will help ensure our service standards, venue operations and workplace culture reflect the values of Club Lennox Sports and Cherry Sports Group.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will:
- Lead and support team members during day-to-day venue operations.
- Help ensure guests and members receive friendly, professional and consistent service.
- Oversee bar and venue operations during rostered shifts.
- Support responsible service standards, safety procedures and venue policies.
- Respond to operational issues, customer feedback and service challenges in a calm and practical way.
- Mentor, coach and develop team members.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful and accountable workplace culture.
- Work collaboratively with other Duty Managers and venue leaders.
- Support opening, closing, cash handling, stock control or other operational duties as required by the role
About you
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality, clubs, pubs, bars, restaurants or a similar licensed venue.
- Strong understanding of bar operations and licensed venue service standards.
- A supportive and practical leadership style.
- Confidence prioritizing tasks in a busy venue environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine commitment to great customer service.
- Ability to build positive relationships with team members, guests, members and the local community.
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays where required.
