The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic Concrete Plant Manager to join the team at Adbri Concrete. This is your opportunity to become an integral team member at one of Australia's leading construction materials producers, and to contribute to the delivery of excellent customer service and quality products from day one.
Reporting to the Concrete Operations Manager, you will lead a team of 4+ direct reports across our Southern sites (Lonsdale (x2) and Sellicks) ensuring operational plans, objectives and site requirements are met so that plant and equipment operate at optimum cost, with the highest availability, safely and without environmental impact. A company vehicle is provided to support travel across the multi-site region.
This is a genuine people leadership role — you'll supervise, mentor, coach and develop a diverse team of plant operators and site employees, building a strong safety culture and high-performing team across all three locations.
Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, mentor and develop plant employees across multiple sites, fostering a strong safety-first culture

Ensure operational equipment is maintained to a safe and efficient standard through effective preventative maintenance

Ensure compliance with policies and procedures surrounding operational standards

Work to reduce operational costs while ensuring products are safely manufactured to required quality standards

Monitor and maintain HSE, quality and maintenance systems across all sites

Ensure compliance with, and clear communication of, all health, safety and environment requirements

Build and support collaborative relationships with other areas of the business

Identify and implement opportunities for improved operational efficiency across the Southern sites network
What You Will Need to Succeed

Experience in a manufacturing, mining or production environment — concrete industry experience highly beneficial

Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to supervise, coach and develop a multi-site team

A strong track record of identifying and delivering operational efficiency improvements

A genuine customer service focus

Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills

Experience with computerised batching systems essential — Command Alkon / COMMANDbatch experience highly regarded

A current driver's licence
