We are currently looking for a confident and creative Hair Stylist & Braid Artist to join our growing team and provide beautiful party hairstyles at children's events.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, has a flair for hair styling, and loves creating a fun and engaging atmosphere.
About the Role
As a Party Hair Stylist, you will attend children's parties across Sydney and create a variety of hairstyles including braids, ponytails, buns and age-appropriate party looks.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating beautiful braided hairstyles and simple party hair designs
- Styling children's hair efficiently while maintaining a high standard
- Engaging positively with children and helping create a fun party atmosphere
- Travelling to party locations across Sydney
- Collecting styling equipment and supplies from our St George base when required
- Representing our brand professionally in clients' homes and event venues
All equipment and training are provided.
We're seeking someone who is naturally friendly, reliable and confident working with children.
This role may suit applicants with experience in:
- Hairdressing or hair styling
- Braiding and creative hairstyling
- Children's entertainment
- Beauty services
- Dance, performing arts or customer-facing roles
- Childcare, nannying or teaching support
Formal hairdressing qualifications are not essential, however strong braiding skills and confidence styling hair are required.
Essential Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be confident creating a variety of braids and simple hairstyles
- Have excellent presentation and attention to detail
- Enjoy working with children and engaging with families
- Be reliable, punctual and organised
- Be comfortable working independently
- Hold a current NSW Driver Licence
- Have access to a reliable vehicle
- Be willing to travel across Sydney for bookings
- Hold a Working With Children Check or be willing to obtain one
Before Applying
Please note that this role involves travelling to various Sydney suburbs, including the Northern Beaches, Western Sydney and the Sutherland Shire.
Weekend availability is essential, as the majority of bookings take place on Saturdays and Sundays.
Pay: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour
