We are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Disability Support Workers to join our team.

About the role
As a Disability Support Worker at Skillz4Me, you will play an important role in supporting participants during our programs, activities and community-based supports.
Your role may include:
- Supporting participants to engage in programs, activities and community outings
- Encouraging independence, communication, confidence and social connection
- Helping participants work towards their individual goals
- Providing respectful personal care and practical support, where required
- Supporting participants with meals, routines, transport and daily activities
- Following participant support plans, behaviour support strategies and safety requirements
- Communicating clearly with participants, families, carers and team members
- Completing basic notes, records and incident reports when required
- Helping create an environment where participants feel safe, included and valued
No two days are exactly the same. Some days may involve group activities, social programs or community access. Other days may involve more hands-on support. What matters most is that you bring patience, care and a willingness to support each participant as an individual.
About you
We are looking for people who are compassionate, practical, reliable and willing to learn.
You will ideally bring:
- A genuine interest in supporting people with disability
- A caring, respectful and positive approach
- Patience, reliability and common sense
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence using a smartphone or basic technology
- Flexibility with shifts and availability
- A willingness to support participants with different needs
- Full Australian work rights
Experience in disability support, education, childcare, youth work, aged care, community services or personal care will be highly regarded. However, the right attitude, values and willingness to learn are just as important.

Pre-employment requirements
Successful applicants may be required to provide or obtain:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Healthcare procedure training - PEG, Epilepsy, Medication training
- Proof of Australian work rights
- Current NSW Driver Licence, where required
- Reference checks and any other relevant pre-employment checks
Pay: $36.22 – $40.49 per hour
