- Part-time, ongoing role at our kindergarten in Sunbury, commencing in term 3
- Help nurture happy, healthy children and inspire a lifelong love of learning
- Mentoring and professional development available
As an Early Childhood Educator at our St Andrew’s Uniting Kindergarten in Sunbury, you will support children to thrive in an inclusive, values-led early learning environment. This role is a part-time ongoing role for 35 hours per fortnight (17.5 hours per week) with the rostered days being Mondays to Wednesdays. This role is set to commence at the start of Term 3 (13 July 2026).
At Uniting, our Early Childhood Educators play a vital role in creating warm, engaging, and responsive spaces where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn. Whether you’re just starting your career or looking for a meaningful change, this is your opportunity to grow within a team that’s deeply committed to child-centred practice and social impact.
You’ll contribute to the planning and delivery of high-quality education and care programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards. Working alongside our experienced team, you’ll build strong relationships with children, families, and the broader community, supporting each child’s individual learning and development journey.
You’ll be joining Uniting’s Early Learning division – a dynamic and purpose-led team working across Victoria and Tasmania to shape better futures for children and families. We champion access, inclusion, and quality in everything we do, and we’re driven by a deep belief in the power of early learning to transform lives and strengthen communities.
Our work isn’t easy, but it matters. Work with people who care as much as you.
In addition to your salary starting at $26.11 per hour + super (dependent on years of experience), you can access the following:
- Salary packaging to increase your take-home pay.
- 60% discount for eligible employees on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning Service.
- Up to 16 weeks paid parental leave for primary caregivers (4 for secondary).
- Training and development opportunities to help you grow.
- Enjoy 25% off at Uniting Op Shops.
You’re an empathetic, enthusiastic educator who believes in every child’s right to belong, learn, and thrive. You hold (or are working towards) a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and bring a commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement. Most importantly, you bring heart to everything you do.
