We are seeking a proactive and delivery-focused Project Manager who can lead complex technology projects through to successful implementation, partnering with business and technical teams to deliver new systems, platforms and process improvements and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
About the role
This is a high-impact role leading the technical delivery of Phase 2 of our Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Implementation.
Reporting to the Head of Application Delivery and Architecture, the Senior IT Project Manager will work in close partnership with People & Culture and external implementation partners, overseeing multiple streams across the project. The role is responsible for ensuring delivery outcomes are achieved while maintaining alignment with organisational strategy, governance requirements, technology roadmaps, and compliance obligations.

As an experienced and highly organised Project Manager, you turn strategy into action and successfully deliver complex business and technology initiatives. You are a collaborative leader who thrives in dynamic environments, bringing together diverse stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to achieve outstanding project outcomes.
You’ll demonstrate:
- Experience successfully delivering HRIS, HCM, Payroll, Workforce Management or similar enterprise system implementations within complex organisations
- Substantial experience managing complex, high-value IT projects and programs, including end-to-end planning, development, and execution across multiple streams
- Well-developed skills in developing and maintaining enterprise-level project management artefacts, including integrated schedules, governance plans, budgets, RAID registers and executive reporting
- Substantial experience in release management, user acceptance testing and deployment within large-scale technology environments
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships, effectively engaging, influencing, and eliciting cooperation from diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders, customers, vendors, implementation partners, and cross-functional teams
- Extensive experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including Scrum practices such as backlog management, user story development, estimation, and prioritisation
- Proven proficiency in Jira/Confluence, MS Project and MS Office, including MS Visio
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and organisational skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment
Qualifications/Licenses
Required:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications specifically a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline is essential along with relevant substantial experience.
- Project Management certifications (PMBOK, PRINCE2 or similar standards)
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Business Administration, or Technology Management
