In this role, you'll:
You will lead the operational audit program and provide strategic and expert advice across audit, compliance and advisory activities for Sydney Trains, working within the Office of the Chief Executive and reporting to the Chief Legal Counsel. You will lead governance of the Sydney Trains Operational Risk Committee and interface with other executive committees as required.
This role will see you develop and deliver risk‑based audit plans aligned to strategic priorities and enterprise risks, manage co‑sourced audit partners and operational audit matters and support reporting that strengthens governance, risk management and operational performance.
You will build strong stakeholder relationships to understand operational and safety risks and business changes, enabling effective audit delivery and improving outcomes.

About you
You hold appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience, along with current membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors Australia or equivalent.
You have demonstrated experience in audit, compliance and advisory activities, with knowledge of risk‑based audit planning and governance. You're confident working with senior stakeholders and communicating complex issues clearly.
You bring integrity and sound judgement and can build trusted relationships that support collaboration and effective governance.
