What will your day look like?
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will:
Provide oversight, support, and guidance across change initiatives, with a focus on non-financial risk identification, assessment, and management throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Act as a trusted advisor to enable delivery at pace while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, risk controls, and delivery frameworks.
Guide stakeholders on adhering to delivery standards and control frameworks, supporting proactive and sustainable control design across products, processes, and technology solutions.
Ensure projects comply with ANZ policies, the regulatory framework, ADF Control Framework, and operate within acceptable residual risk as defined by the Operational Risk Management Framework (I.AM).
Support the implementation of change and regulatory initiatives by ensuring risk assessments, control validations, and pre–go-live checks are completed effectively.
Build and maintain strong relationships with teams including Information Security, Operational Risk, Compliance, Technology Risk, Data Governance, senior stakeholders, and other sign-off authorities.
Manage and resolve conflicts between policy requirements and practical delivery considerations.
Drive process improvements and efficiencies in Information Security delivery across Markets platforms.
Collaborate across teams to enhance risk and control awareness and contribute to a well-rounded assurance delivery capability.
Provide leadership and support the upskilling of team members in risk, control, and assurance practices.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong knowledge of business/technology, including regulatory requirements, risk controls, and delivery frameworks (including software and testing controls).
Expertise in control effectiveness assessment, testing, mitigation strategies, and risk reporting.
Familiar with ISO 27001, ISO 31000:2009, and ADI Prudential Standards (CPS230–235) for non-financial risk management.
Solid understanding of ANZ ISO standards and the Operational Risk Management Framework (I.AM).
Hands-on experience in end-to-end Information Security and Operational Risk Management (risk identification, assessment, and mitigation).
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills across large organisations.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with experience handling complex issues.
Markets background with assurance/audit experience and exposure to APEA regulatory frameworks.
Growth mindset with a focus on change readiness, long-term risk strategy, and continuous improvement.
CISSP or similar certifications highly regarded.
