About the Role
We’re looking for a QHSE Advisor to join our team and support the delivery of quality, health, safety and environmental outcomes across our projects.
Working closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and subcontractors, you’ll provide hands-on advice and support to ensure our projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and to a high standard.
This role reports to the QHSE Manager and plays an important part in driving company-wide QHSE initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of QHSE systems, procedures and plans
- Monitor project compliance with QHSE requirements, legislation and standards
- Conduct site inspections, audits and assessments to identify risks and opportunities for improvement
- Investigate incidents, non-conformances and near misses, and support corrective actions
- Provide practical QHSE advice and guidance to project teams, subcontractors and clients
- Deliver inductions, training and awareness programs across projects
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date QHSE documentation and records
- Stay across legislative changes and industry developments, sharing insights with project teams
- Contribute to QHSE meetings, forums and initiatives that strengthen our safety cultur
About You
You’re someone who takes a practical, solutions-focused approach and is confident working alongside teams on site.
You will ideally bring:
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum requirement)
- ICAM Investigation training (desirable)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a QHSE role within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of Australian QHSE legislation, standards and codes of practice
- Experience working with QHSE systems, audits, and ongoing compliance processes
- The ability to build trust and influence across project teams, subcontractors and clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations
- A proactive, self-driven approach and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement
- High attention to detail and the ability to deliver quality outcomes within required timeframes
