The Fraternity Club is a vibrant social hub just minutes from Wollongong CBD, renowned for quality food and hospitality. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated pizza chefs to join Il Bene, our popular wood-fired pizza restaurant.
Recognised with the inaugural Perfect Pizza Award at the 2025 Perfect Plate Awards, Il Bene has built a reputation for delivering quality wood-fired pizza in a fast-paced and professional environment.
This is a casual position with plenty of hours available for the right applicant. We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, enjoys working as part of a team, and takes pride in producing quality products consistently.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation of pizzas from dough to service (experience preferred)
- Assisting with dough preparation and production
- Maintaining consistency and quality across all products
- Assisting with menu development and specials
- Maintaining equipment and workstations to a high standard
- Ensuring kitchen cleanliness and organisation
- Complying with WHS requirements, HACCP procedures and food safety standards
- Assisting with stock control and minimising wastage
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in pizza making (wood-fired experience highly regarded)
- Experience preparing dough (preferred)
- The ability to hand stretch or spin pizza dough (preferred)
- A sound understanding of HACCP and food safety principles
- Strong communication skills and a good understanding of English
- The ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Excellent personal presentation and a positive attitude

Shifts vary across weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Applicants must be available to work during the Club's operational hours and be comfortable working a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
