About the Role
i-Help Disability Services is seeking an experienced and highly organised Registered Nurse with NDIS experience to join our team in a full-time capacity.
This is primarily an office-based role, with regular travel required to our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes across Melbourne.
You will provide clinical oversight across our SIL services and work closely with participants, Disability Support Workers, families, Support Coordinators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
A key focus of the role is ensuring our Support Workers feel supported, confident and well equipped to provide safe, high-quality and person-centred support, while maintaining strong standards in clinical practice, documentation and NDIS compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical oversight and guidance across SIL services
- Supporting and providing clinical guidance to Disability Support Workers
- Building strong relationships with workers and ensuring they feel supported in their roles
- Providing coaching, education and participant-specific training
- Working from the office while regularly travelling to SIL homes across Melbourne
- Conducting clinical reviews, house audits and worker observations
- Completing competency assessments where required
- Identifying gaps and ensuring actions are followed through to completion
- Reviewing participant health needs, clinical risks and support requirements
- Ensuring participant health and clinical plans are current and understood by workers
- Liaising with participants, families, Support Coordinators and other key stakeholders
- Communicating with GPs, hospitals, pharmacies and allied health professionals
- Supporting medication management and medication-related governance
- Monitoring clinical incidents and supporting appropriate follow-up
- Maintaining accurate, timely and comprehensive participant records
- Ensuring documentation meets NDIS requirements and organisational standards
- Reviewing progress notes, incident documentation and other participant records for quality and compliance
- Supporting continuous improvement and audit readiness
- Escalating clinical and participant risks appropriately
- Working collaboratively with operational and compliance teams
About You
You are an experienced Registered Nurse who is confident balancing clinical responsibilities with coordination, stakeholder engagement and strong administration.
You will be:
- Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong in time management and follow-through
- An excellent verbal and written communicator
- Confident communicating with participants, families and external stakeholders
- Comfortable working with allied health and other health professionals
- Approachable and supportive when working with frontline Support Workers
- Able to provide clear direction and constructive feedback
- Proactive in identifying risks and areas for improvement
- Strong in documentation and record keeping
- Comfortable working in an office environment and travelling regularly between SIL homes
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with the broader team
Essential Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Previous experience within the NDIS or disability sector
- Experience working within Supported Independent Living (SIL) services highly desirable
- Experience supporting or supervising Disability Support Workers
- Strong understanding of NDIS participant-centred practice and safeguarding requirements
- Sound knowledge of NDIS documentation and record-keeping requirements
- Clinical assessment and risk-management experience
- Medication management experience
- Strong written documentation skills
- Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship-management skills
- Current First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working with Children Check where required
- Current Australian Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Melbourne to visit SIL homes

Pay: $58,224.92 – $110,904.65 per year
