Bartenders – Full Time

Nōknōk is seeking 2 experienced full-time Bartenders to join our team in Cairns.
Nōknōk is a small, intimate cocktail bar with a strong focus on quality drinks and personalised hospitality. Because of the size and style of our venue, our bartenders are highly customer-facing and play an important role in creating the overall guest experience.
We are looking for experienced bartenders is confident behind the bar, have strong cocktail and beverage knowledge, and genuinely enjoy engaging with guests. The right persons will be comfortable building rapport with customers, recommending drinks and delivering warm, attentive service throughout the night.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving high-quality cocktails, spirits, wine and other beverages.
- Welcoming guests and providing friendly, personalised and attentive service
- Engaging with customers and creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere
-Making drink recommendations based on guests' tastes and preferences
-Maintaining strong knowledge of the cocktail and beverage menu
-Preparing garnishes, syrups and other cocktail ingredients
-Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked bar
-Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock rotation
-Handling payments and operating the POS system
-Following responsible service of alcohol and workplace procedures
-Assisting with opening and closing duties
About you:
-At least one year or preferably 2 years of previous experience working as a bartender
-Strong cocktail, spirits and beverage knowledge
-Confident and personable when interacting with customers
-A genuine interest in hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
-Excellent communication and customer service skills
-Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service
-Reliable, professional and well presented
-Available to work evenings and weekends
-Current Queensland RSA, or ability to obtain one
Position: Full-time
Location: Cairns, Queensland
Hours: 38 hours per week
Salary: from $71500 + superannuation
