You’re agile, keen and open to meaningful work and opportunities that come your way.
You're a critical thinker who thrives on exploring complex policy issues. Your expertise and advice could influence outcomes for the future of NSW.
In this role, you'll:
Work as part of our Transport Policy branch, delivering strategic, evidence-based policy reform that improves outcomes for people and communities across NSW.
You will lead the development and delivery of a portfolio of policy initiatives and reforms within either our Social Policy team or Passenger and Urban Policy team, providing strategic advice, undertaking complex policy analysis, and working with stakeholders to develop practical, customer-focused solutions that support Transport's strategic objectives.
The Social Policy portfolio focuses on advancing equitable, inclusive and accessible transport services across NSW, particularly for people with disability, older people, students, concession card holders and other communities that may experience transport disadvantage. This includes leading policy and program reform that reduces barriers to travel and improves transport outcomes for diverse communities.
The Passenger and Urban Policy portfolio includes passenger transport and point to point transport policy, including taxis, hire vehicles and rideshare services. The role will also lead strategic policy and regulatory reforms relating to the Roads Act 1993, including policy development, stakeholder engagement and implementation planning.
As more opportunities are expected within this branch, a talent pool will be created to support future recruitment needs.
These roles are permanent full-time opportunities based at the Elizabeth Street office, with a 50% workplace attendance requirement.
