Joondalup MHU has undergone major redevelopment and has opened its doors to a new facility with
a total capacity of 102 inpatient beds, across youth, adult, older adult and psychiatric intensive care
services.
About Role:
A new exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated Clinical Neuropsychologist / Clinical Neuropsychologist Registrar to join the Mental Health Unit at Joondalup Health Campus.
This is a Permanent Part-Time position of 0.8 FTE. Flexible working arrangements and job share situations may be considered.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialise neuropsychology assessment, consultation and intervention for adults with cognitive impairments associated with psychiatric conditions, who may present with co-morbid neurodevelopmental, neurological, neurodegenerative disorders.
About you:
Skills and qualifications:

Masters or Doctoral degree in clinical neuropsychology and eligibility for full registration and endorsement in clinical neuropsychology with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Demonstrated ability to function with a high degree of competence and initiative, under general to limited direction, in a variety of roles such as a clinician, consultant, supervisor, teacher, researcher/evaluator, and agent of change in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Thorough knowledge of neuropsychological theories models and practices. This includes a well-developed model of evidence-based practice.

Demonstrated proficiency in neuropsychological assessment, feedback, interview techniques and report writing for patients across the lifespan with developmental, neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions.

Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals and external agencies both on individual patient management matters and on general service issues.

A thorough knowledge of the laws and ethical standards governing psychological practice.

Desirable - Clinical practicum experience in the delivery of neuropsychology services in a hospital setting.
