Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Private Tutor (Finance) to join our Coaching Department.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Plan and design personalised tutoring programs tailored to students with different academic backgrounds and learning needs.
- Develop and maintain online learning resources and teaching materials to support long-term academic programs.
- Prepare teaching materials and instructional resources for finance-related subjects.
- Design and deliver academic workshops and seminars focusing on study skills, essay writing, critical thinking, time management and examination preparation.
- Conduct one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions for international students studying finance-related subjects, primarily those offered by the University of Adelaide.
- Explain complex academic concepts and provide subject-specific guidance to improve students' understanding and academic performance.
- Assess assignments and provide constructive feedback to support students with different learning needs.
- Provide advice on study methodology, time management and examination techniques.
- Collaborate with other tutors and participate in professional development activities to remain up to date with developments in relevant subject areas.
- Undertake ongoing research and review academic literature to ensure teaching materials and teaching methods remain current and effective.
- Maintain effective communication with students regarding their academic progress and learning goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
- Minimum three years of experience in private tutoring or tertiary education support.
- Strong knowledge of finance-related subjects and familiarity with Australian university curricula, particularly those offered by the University of Adelaide.
- Demonstrated ability to develop customised lesson plans and support students from diverse academic backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Bilingual candidates fluent in both English and Mandarin are highly regarded due to the multicultural background of our students.
