We're currently seeking an experienced
Senior Contract Administrator to join our ACT business on the delivery of a major
education project in Strathnairn, ACT.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a project that will directly support one of Canberra's fastest-growing communities. Working alongside an experienced project team, you'll have genuine ownership of the commercial function while contributing to a project that will have a lasting impact on local families and future generations.
The Opportunity As
Senior Contract Administrator, you'll be a key member of the project leadership team, taking ownership of the commercial management of the project from procurement through to final accounts.
You'll work closely with project delivery teams, consultants and subcontractors to drive commercial outcomes, manage risk and ensure the successful delivery of this important education project.
We're looking for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, solving problems and being actively involved in the decisions that keep projects moving forward.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing end-to-end contract administration across the project lifecycle
- Leading subcontractor procurement and package management
- Negotiating and administering subcontract agreements
- Managing variations, progress claims and cost forecasting
- Driving project budgets, reporting and financial performance
- Working closely with project and site teams to achieve strong commercial outcomes
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risk
- Building productive relationships with subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders
- Providing commercial guidance and support throughout project delivery
About You
You are an experienced Contract Administrator or Senior Contract Administrator who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Experience delivering commercial construction projects within Tier 1, Tier 2 or a reputable mid-tier contractor
- Demonstrated experience managing procurement, subcontractor packages and project financials
- Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing team environment
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Education, government, community infrastructure or large-scale building project experience will be highly regarded.
