The Role
We are looking for an experienced Registered Migration Agent (MARA) or Migration Consultant to manage a broad range of migration matters from initial consultation through to lodgement and finalisation.
You will work directly with clients, provide practical migration solutions, prepare visa applications, and assist clients in navigating Australia's migration system with confidence and clarity.
This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical migration knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to independently manage a busy caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing migration files from consultation through to completion
- Preparing and lodging visa applications within required deadlines
- Handling Skills Assessments and supporting documentation
- Advising clients on visa options, migration pathways, and strategic solutions
- Drafting professional submissions, representations, and correspondence
- Liaising with the Department of Home Affairs, assessing authorities, and other relevant bodies
- Conducting consultations in both English and Mandarin
- Following up with clients regarding documentation and case progress
- Maintaining accurate file records and compliance standards
- Assisting with complex migration matters and case strategy
Essential Requirements
- Current MARA Registration (Mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an Australian migration law firm or migration agency
- Strong practical understanding of Australian migration law, policy, and procedures
- Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese
- Proven ability to independently manage a substantial caseload
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Professional, client-focused, and solutions-oriented approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Important
This role is not suitable for junior applicants or candidates without migration industry experience.
Applicants must be able to independently manage migration matters, communicate confidently with clients, and demonstrate sound knowledge of Australian migration processes and compliance requirements.
Mandarin Chinese is essential for this role. You must be comfortable conducting consultations, managing client relationships, and preparing correspondence in both Mandarin and English.
Applicants who do not hold current MARA registration or do not meet the experience requirements will not be considered.
