About the Role
Join an innovative program supporting victim survivors to navigate justice with confidence.
SECASA is seeking two experienced clinicians to join our team as Justice Navigators in full time, fixed-term positions until June 2028.
This exciting new initiative is the first of its kind in Australia and has been established to support victim survivors of sexual violence to better understand their rights, access support, and make informed decisions about their justice and recovery options.
Working within a specialist sexual assault service, you will provide independent, trauma-informed and strengths-based navigation support, helping victim survivors to:
Understand their rights and available options
Navigate police, court, compensation and restorative justice pathways
Access specialist legal, health and community support services
Make informed decisions about the justice and recovery pathways that best meet their individual needs
Justice Navigators provide specialist information, advocacy and practical support while working collaboratively with police, legal services and community organisations. This role does not provide therapeutic counselling or legal advice, instead focusing on empowering victim survivors through information, coordination and skilled system navigation.
As part of SECASA's multidisciplinary team, you will also provide secondary consultation to clinicians, contribute to service development, and help shape this innovative pilot as it evolves. This is a unique opportunity to influence a new model of care while making a meaningful difference to the lives of victim survivors of sexual violence.
About Us
The South East Centre Against Sexual Assault (SECASA) is a specialist program of Monash Health providing free, confidential and trauma-informed services for people affected by sexual assault and family violence across Melbourne's south-east.

At SECASA, you'll join a supportive and highly respected team committed to innovation, collaboration and professional growth. We value diversity, foster an inclusive workplace and are dedicated to providing culturally safe, person-centred care for all members of our community.
About You
You are an experienced Social Worker or Psychologist who is passionate about supporting victim survivors and improving access to justice through trauma-informed, rights-based practice.
You will bring:
Registration or eligibility as a Grade 3 Social Worker or Grade 4 Psychologist
Experience working with victim survivors of sexual violence or within trauma-focused services
Strong knowledge of trauma-informed, strengths-based and intersectional practice
An understanding of the Victorian justice system and the ability to navigate complex service environments
Exceptional communication, advocacy and stakeholder engagement skills
The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team
A commitment to culturally safe, inclusive and person-centred practice
In Return
In this role, you'll be part of something truly meaningful.
At SECASA, we stand alongside victim survivors of sexual assault and family violence, providing compassionate, specialist support during some of the most challenging moments in their lives. Every member of our team plays an important role in creating safer pathways to healing, recovery and justice.
As a Justice Navigator, you'll have the unique opportunity to help shape an innovative statewide initiative while working within one of Victoria's leading specialist sexual assault services. You'll join a highly skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team that values collaboration, reflective practice and continuous learning.
In return, you'll enjoy:
The opportunity to influence a groundbreaking model of care that improves access to justice for victim survivors
Meaningful work that creates lasting impact for individuals, families and the broader community
A supportive team culture with regular supervision, clinical support and opportunities for professional growth
Flexible working arrangements and a workplace that values wellbeing, inclusion and diversity
The chance to be part of a service committed to advocacy, innovation and improving outcomes for victim survivors across Victoria
