We are seeking an exceptional senior leader to take on the role of Head of Enterprise Architecture & Data, driving the strategic direction, governance and delivery of enterprise architecture, data and integration capabilities as well as corporate information management across Council.
This is a critical leadership position with significant influence across the organisation, shaping how technology, data and information are leveraged to deliver better outcomes for our community.
We are about to embark on a major digital transformation program; this is a great opportunity to use refreshed technology to better support the large number of services we provide to the Darebin community.
About the role:
Reporting to the Chief Information & Digital Officer, you will oversee Council’s enterprise architecture, data and integration landscape as well as records management. You will provide strategic advice at the executive level, support major transformation initiatives, and ensure robust governance across data, information management and privacy.
Along with strategic leadership this role is part of the Information Service leadership team with operational management responsibilities for application management and corporate information management teams.
You will:
- Define and maintain and document enterprise architecture, technology landscape and integration frameworks aligned to organisational priorities.

Oversee data governance, information management, privacy and security to ensure compliant, reliable and accessible information assets.

Manage information and technology architecture risks.

Contribute to cyber security frameworks and risk management

Support architecture and data initiatives that enable organisational transformation

Provide strategic, high-quality advice and briefings to senior managers and Executive teams.

Manage workforce strategy, budgets, procurement and vendor relationships across the portfolio.
About you:

Demonstrated senior leadership experience in enterprise architecture, data strategy or technology leadership.

Proven success supporting transformation programs and organisational change.

Strong capability in architecture framework development, data governance, integration and technology architecture design.

Experience overseeing information management, corporate information and privacy.

Excellent executive communication and influencing skills
- Tertiary qualification in IT, enterprise architecture, data management or related discipline
- Public sector or local government experience (highly desirable)
