Reporting to the Head of Sales you will be responsible for the leadership and development of the showroom team, have a strong understanding of products, company procedures and client interactions.
You will be a self-starter who can readily create rapport with people at all levels whilst keeping sight of the bigger picture.
You will drive sales growth across all customer categories within the showroom by servicing and nurturing existing GlobeWest customers as well as proactively prospecting new opportunities and customers within the design and retail segment to promote GlobeWest products. You will drive and be accountable for a quality customer service experience of visitors to the GlobeWest showroom.
About the Role
- Lead and manage the team and have an active presence in the Showroom (minimum three days per week and outbound two days per week)
- Train and coach the team, ensuring clarity on job expectations and celebrating successes
- Responsible for regular review of the team’s customer portfolio to ensure an optimal mix of Growth, New, Reactivate and Maintaining customers to ensure targets are met
- Responsible for driving sales growth in the Victorian showroom
- Ensuring the showroom sales targets are met on a monthly and annual basis
- Implementing a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong market presence
- Welcome clients into the showroom, ensuring great customer experience and in-depth product knowledge is delivered to our customers and their clients as well as the public
- Utilise interior design skills to assist clients with product selections for interior design and styling projects
- Collaborates with other State Managers to develop innovative offers for sales team to present to customers and to encourage continuous improvement
- Responsible for building and maintaining of relationships with key clients and ensuring new and emerging clients are served with the highest level of customer service is critical to the success of this role.
- Ensures a solid understanding of core markets to be able to build strategic partnerships with key suppliers to drive sales and profit growth
- Confident with introducing GlobeWest to new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with stockists to strengthen the accessibility of the GlobeWest brand to end users.
About You
- Able to motivate, mentor and develop and lead the showroom team
- Demonstrated experience as a sales manager gained in a rapidly growing SME
- Ability to collaborate with head office and key stakeholders and functions
- Proven leadership ability
- A proven record of business growth and profitability
- Possess strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret sales data and a flexible nature
- Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy
- The ability to research, formulate and present in front of Senior Management
- Excellent negotiation, solution selling and stakeholder management skills
- Possess strong Computer and analytical skills
You will have a flare for design and an appreciation for beautiful furniture. Your excellent written and verbal communication will enable you to work effectively with diverse segments of the business’s clientele. A proven record of business growth and profitability will be essential to your success in this role. You must be a collaborator able to support and work with the State team as required. Strong computers skills including (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook are essential
