We are a leading hospitality provider located along the iconic Great Northern Highway in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Cook to join our team.
The main duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu recipes and standards.
- Ensure food is cooked and presented on time.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Monitor food stock levels and inform the chef or manager of shortages.
- Follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste.
- Store ingredients and food items properly to maintain freshness.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and suggest new dish ideas.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting food deliveries.
- Maintain a clean workspace and follow workplace safety procedures.
- Prepare special orders or accommodate dietary requests.
- Assist in kitchen setup and closing duties.
- Report any kitchen maintenance or equipment issues.
The suitable applicants should:
- Have at least Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and dietary requirements.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Creativity in menu planning and dish preparation.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods.
The employer will offer:
- A full-time contract for at least 3 years, extendable for further term.
- An annual salary of $68,000 - $72,000 (negotiable) + superannuation will be offered to the successful candidates with relevant qualification and experience.
