The Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) plays a vital role in leading the delivery of high-quality education and
care for children aged 3–5 years. This position is responsible for fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing
environment where children are supported to learn, grow, and thrive. Working in partnership with families,
colleagues, and the leadership team, the ECT applies their teaching philosophy to plan and implement
engaging educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework (or approved
framework) and meet the National Quality Standards. As a key pedagogical leader, the ECT guides,
mentors, and supports Educators to strengthen their practice and contributes to a collaborative, reflective,
and professional team culture focused on achieving positive outcomes for all children.
