Custom Boxes is a well-established, family-owned manufacturing business located in Gregory Hills. We specialise in custom corrugated cardboard packaging in any size, quantity and print for businesses across a wide range of industries.
We're looking for an organised and customer-focused Internal Sales team member to handle customer enquiries, prepare quotes and support our Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare Quotes & Provide Customer Solutions
This is the core function of the role.
- Respond to online, phone and email sales enquiries.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable packaging solutions.
- Prepare accurate quotations and provide advice on what can and cannot be manufactured.
- Prepare design briefs and work with our structural designer to develop suitable solutions.
- Review designs against customer requirements and quote design work where required.
2. Support the Sales Manager
The Sales Manager leads business development and client relationships. You will support them by:
- Preparing quotes and information needed to progress sales opportunities.
- Identifying important or high-value opportunities requiring direct Sales Manager follow-up.
- Assisting with customer communication and keeping opportunities moving.
3. Follow Up Quotes & Convert Opportunities
- Follow up quotes and enquiries by phone and email.
- Answer customer questions and provide additional information as required.
- Build customer relationships and help convert quotes into orders.
Skills & Experience
Previous packaging experience is not required. Full training will be provided to the right person.
We're looking for someone who:
- Communicates confidently with customers by phone and email.
- Is organised, detail-oriented and a good problem solver.
- Is comfortable with numbers, measurements and basic geometry.
- Has good computer and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Has experience using a CRM system.
- Is comfortable learning technical products and manufacturing processes.
Highly Regarded
Experience or an interest in manufacturing, packaging, structural/product design or technical drawings will be highly regarded, as will an understanding of CRM and MRP systems.
