Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with clinical leads and end users across Metro North Health to deliver the Digital Metro North Strategy 2018-32. The strategy aims to ultimately deliver an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North by 2032. Over the coming years, significant capital works are being undertaken, including hospital construction and refurbishment and the implementation of the ieMR Advanced solution across all Metro North facilities. Achieving the aims of the strategy requires a dedicated team with the knowledge, determination, and skills to deliver quality results.
About the Role
Reporting to the Nursing Director, Clinical Informatics Director this role will provide advanced clinical expertise, leadership and specialist clinical informatics advice to support the development and ongoing maintenance of analytics and reporting functions for clinical information systems across Metro North Health. Provide leadership for the training, adoption, optimisation, change-management process, ongoing maintenance, data integrity processes, and system upgrades for the integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR). Support interprofessional teams in adopting digital workflows and driving data quality improvement and analysis.
This role is full time with the standard hours of operation being 8:00am - 4:06pm, Monday to Friday.
Flexible working arrangements such as variable working hours, working from home and flex accrual may be supported.

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, experience, and clinical skills in ieMR solutions, including Power Chart, Power Forms, Power Plans, iView, Patient Lists, Care Compass, and ieMR maintenance, support, and change management.
Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills, and expert clinical judgement in relation to clinical informatics and digital workflows in relation to ieMR and other programs.

Responsible for the professional development of self and others utilising contemporary practice in the delivery of improved standards of care.
