Fitter (General)/Service Technician

Impact Machinery Pty Ltd is a Partner for Structural and Miscellaneous Fabricators looking for more margin and faster Production. Our goal is to provide solutions for cost effective manufacturing, though improved Design, Layout, Fit and Weld, Cutting, Drilling, Marking, Welding, Coping, Blasting and reduced errors for onsite erection of our customers projects.
We currently looking for two Fitters to join our field-based team. Please note that National and some international travel may be required (must have a passport or ability to apply).
Job responsibilities include:
· Installing, maintaining, and carrying out breakdown repairs on structural steel CNC machinery
· Interpreting technical drawings, specifications, measurement equipment, and associated documentation
· Inspecting components and taking personal responsibility for the safe execution of work, as well as maintaining quality and efficiency standards
· Operating and using precision measuring instruments
· Setting up machine controls, devices, and tooling on machining equipment
· Identifying, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical parts and machinery
· Commissioning machines and equipment on-site following installation or repair
· Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, safety, environmental, and community policies, systems, and procedures
About you
· Qualification: Australian AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) OR equivalent qualification.
· Experience: at least FOUR years of relevant experience
· Must be prepared for work across multi disciplines Electrical, Mechanical & Hydraulic
· Must be able to work alone while being supported in a small team environment
· Good communication skills are a must both written and verbal

What we offer
The role is for a full-time position with an annual salary of $80,000 – $100,000.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
