Disability Support Worker

About the Role: We are looking for a reliable, patient and encouraging Disability Support Worker to support a young man with attending TAFE and successfully completing his Certificate III in Individual Support.
The role involves:
· Transporting and accompanying him to and from TAFE.
· Supporting him to attend classes and stay engaged with his studies.
· Encouraging and motivating him to complete classwork, assessments and study tasks.
· Helping him stay organised, focused and on track with deadlines.
· Building his confidence, independence and motivation to achieve his goals.
· Providing positive encouragement and celebrating his progress and achievements.
Essential Criteria:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting people with disability.
· Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability or equivalent).
· Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
· Working With Children Check
· Full and valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive cover insurance
· Fluent in English and Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Compassionate, honest, and reliable nature
· Commitment to person-centred and empowering support practices.
· Australian work rights or valid work visa essential
· First Aid & CPR Certificate
· NDIS Worker Orientation Module
· Supporting Effective Communication Module
· Manual handling
