About Us
We are a growing Hospital in the Home (HITH) nursing service providing high-quality, patient-centred care to clients in their own homes and within the community.
We are seeking passionate and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who value flexibility, autonomy and the ability to make a meaningful difference to patients outside the traditional hospital environment.
About the Role
As a community-based nurse, you will provide a range of clinical services, including:
- Wound assessment and wound care
- Post-surgical and post-hospitalisation care
- Comprehensive nursing assessments
- Medication management and administration
- Intravenous (IV) therapy
- Acute illness management
- Chronic disease management
- Clinical monitoring and escalation of patient concerns
- Patient and family education
- Care planning and coordination with other healthcare professionals
- Accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Incident identification and reporting
- Providing safe, professional and patient-centred care in the home environment
About You
We are looking for nurses who are confident working independently in a community setting and who are committed to delivering safe, high-quality clinical care.
You will ideally have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
- Previous experience in community nursing, Hospital in the Home, acute care or a similar setting
- A current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
- A reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Strong documentation and clinical record-keeping skills
- A sound understanding of incident reporting and clinical governance
- A professional, reliable and compassionate approach to patient care
- The ability to recognise deterioration and escalate concerns appropriately
