About the Role:
As the Senior Computer Assistant you will undertake maintenance and repair services, assist in managing the operations of equipment and provide advice on the use of software to maximise the potential of computing technology in schools.
Previous experience working in the State School system would be beneficial in applying knowledge and understanding of Department of Education's expectations.
The successful applicant must demonstrate a systematic approach is managing school fleet of digital resources.
Must possess a DoE Orange Card School Administrator (OC SA) certification and a current Working with Children Check clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair, and support computers, devices, and associated ICT equipment across the school.
Install and configure hardware and software, and provide recommendations for technology improvements.
Deliver technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff and students.
Assist with the management of school networks, software applications, and ICT resources.
Support the development and maintenance of school administrative systems and databases.
Provide advice on emerging technologies, software solutions, and best-practice use of ICT.
Develop and promote safe and effective procedures for the use of school computing equipment.
Undertake other duties as required to support the effective operation of the school's ICT environment.
