We are looking for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our Finance team in Melbourne.
The FP&A Manager is responsible for delivering financial reporting and analysis and managing the financial analysts in the team. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll set guidelines for the budgeting and forecasting process and based on your insights and reports, you will support senior executives in decision-making to optimise performance.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be responsible for:
- Lead all budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams for data collection and maintaining rolling forecasts.
- Delivery of standard monthly financial reporting for external and internal clients including client revenue and profitability reporting, and divisional performance reporting.
- Preparation of high quality analysis to identify factors (internal and external) impacting firm performance including variance analysis and report writing.
- Administration and reconciliation of legal capacity and business services people data.
- Assisting in the completion of periodic and ad hoc forecasts including supporting analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase productivity and/or improve the quality of information provided, particularly in the areas of financial reporting.
- Build strong relationships with key partners, acting as the FP&A Hotel function's main point of contact for stakeholders.
- Lead a team of high performing financial analysts.
Preferred experience includes the following:
- More than 5 years experience in a similar role within the professional services industry.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant disciplines including Accounting and Finance are essential.
- Proficient in excel skills and exposure to SQL.
- Excellent attention to detail with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities while keeping a strategic perspective.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure.
