About the Role
As a Support Worker at Direct Care Australia, you’ll provide day-to-day assistance to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities, mental health conditions, or age-related care needs.
The applicant will be required to travel to multiple locations, with travel across the greater Sunshine Coast region.
Duties may include:
- Personal care and domestic assistance
- Medication administration
- Transport and community access
- Using hoists and other mobility equipment
- Supporting clients with complex or challenging behaviours
Service Types

- Assisted Daily Living
- One-on-one socialisation and activity engagement
Essential Criteria
What You’ll Need:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or Aged Care or equivalent (Required)
- Experience in disability or aged care support (Highly preferred)
- Experience with ASD (highly preferred)
- Excellent communication and case-noting skills
- Ability to work across 7 days, including nights
- Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- Comprehensive car insurance
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates (Required)
- (HLTWHS005) Manual Handling certificate
- Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Criminal History Check
- Smartphone (for rostering and communication)
Registered/Enrolled Nurses are also encouraged to apply.
Locations
Must be willing and able to travel to multiple suburbs across the Sunshine Coast.
